I was taking a vacation in beautiful Long Beach, CA lately and I decided to whip out my handheld camcorder and make a gritty, but important video for you. You need to watch this if you want to grow your practice without burning yourself out.
Take a break. Spend some time alone or go to the beach with your family. Step away from your desk. It is important to take a break from your practice to actually see the forest through the trees – It’s all about work life balance. This will allow you to think about how you can control your practice, as opposed to your practice taking control of you.
Likewise, it is important that you have the correct systems in place to help you organize your physical therapy business while you’re away.
It’s important to step away sometimes so you can take a critical look at the:
- Systems and infrastructure of your practice (documentation, physical therapy billing system , physical therapy marketing)
- The right Staff that runs your physical therapy business
- Feedback loops and mechanisms to improve everything you are doing
Wondering where to take your next vacation? We’ve got that figured out for you. Las Vegas!
On Sept 23 – 25 the top physical therapy private practice owners will be in San Diego at the Referral Ignition 2016. This was created to give you a chance to vacation, while learn in a very calm relaxing environment.
In my opinion this is the best way to work on your practice while being away from it.
